Find answers to your questions about QuickLinks, including how to use the app, its features, and
how it can enhance your bookmarking experience.
QuickLinks is a bookmark management tool designed to
help you organize and manage your favorite web links efficiently. The application allows you to
create categories, add bookmarks with custom icons, edit existing links, and delete unnecessary
ones. All your bookmarks are stored in your browser's local storage, ensuring they persist
across sessions.
To add a new bookmark, click the "+" button on the home
page. A modal will appear where you can enter the link's name, URL, and select a category. You
can also upload an icon to personalize your bookmark. To edit a bookmark, click the edit icon on
the bookmark card, make your changes, and save. To organize bookmarks, simply assign them to
different categories during the creation or editing process.
Categorizing your bookmarks allows you to easily find
and manage links based on their relevance. For instance, you can have separate categories for
Work, Personal, Entertainment, etc. This organization helps in keeping your bookmarks
clutter-free and makes it easier to locate specific links when needed.
QuickLinks includes a light/dark mode toggle, allowing
you to switch between themes based on your preference or environment. You can find this toggle
in the app's sidebar. The chosen mode will be applied across all pages of the application,
providing a comfortable viewing experience whether you're working during the day or at night.
QuickLinks currently saves bookmarks in the browser's
local storage, which means your bookmarks are only available on the device where you created
them. To access your bookmarks on another device, you would need to manually transfer the data
or use browser synchronization features.
Your bookmarks in QuickLinks are stored locally on your
device, which means they are not uploaded to any server, ensuring your data remains private and
secure. However, this also means if you clear your browser data, you will lose your bookmarks
unless you have backed them up.
